And Rain’s Here Again

And rain’s here again with damp gusts of wind
Blowing wild, propelling the clouds
Towards the horizon, scattering them
Across the sky. A dark sadness
Looms from the absence of the Moon
And the stars. Flashes bright and blue
Igniting the lonely sky
With random intervals and yet
The wind carried the roars far away.
While rain pelts the earth and the city sleeps,
Minds become restless from the wind
And wish that they were clouds as well.
Down below on the ground, roads are drenched and
Raindrops rippling on shallow pools,
Unless cars with heavy rumbles
Have splashed them clean for a moment or two.
But soon the rain comes back with vengeance
And then in a while, nothing else remain…
