The Island of Solitude

Been living on this island for ages
Waiting for the dust to settle down
And for the sun to rise again
Shining bright through the hazy clouds.
Right now the world is darker than the night
And the prairies are no more green,
The naked trees cast no shade around
All these fallen leaves dying on the ground.
The loneliness was bitter
When this pure solitude begun
And the silence was deafening
Until the senses got used to the scene,
Until all these mute voices grew
Louder and less clouded inside the dying brain.

                    1. πŸ˜€ ok I am sorry… I should have said my knees start trembling… for there is only one situation where people can be said to have gone at the knees :p …. Gaia is Mother Earth… the world was born when Gaia mated with Oceanus, the titan god of the oceans.

                    2. nooooooooo….. she will heave a sigh of relief, even last night she was telling me how weary she feels because humans too were behaving like rats and rabbits , only concerned about propagating and multiplying… that was and will never be the purpose of humankind since the end of the middle ages. so Gaia it is, if you kindly give your nod.

The earth talks to only those who , she knows in all her wisdom , can listen and comprehend the true meaning of her words. So , if she spoke to you , you are from an esteemed lot and I have no choice but to agree — regards , Gaia

                    4. πŸ˜€ you are again letting the illusion of senses cloud your perception. tell me, suppose you have taken a billion year old tree and made a table yesterday, would it be only a day old? so I believe both of us are as old as the universe (15 billion years, more or less)

                    8. that would have been easy, if I had a phone set with a built in camera.. but trust me, I will … now I am 72kg… I can grow up to 75… but once I reach that point I would have to start skipping lunch again

                    13. I have tried to build up my career as a software developer, an IT instructor, a fishmonger, a public speaking instructor, a copywriter, a broadcast journalist and now as a writer …. but being an optimist you see color not the bruises … thank you!

                    14. Your scars become trophies in time and they’ll tell your story the way it has to told someday. Am in awe and envious too . The colour of bravado is not just red….its some times black and sometimes blue ,but they’ll fit in together and make a mosaic and that piece of art will be the real you !
