War on Human Tyranny

If I had the scepter of the world in my hand
I would have blown the trumpet of Armageddon
to annihilate this old universe tonight,
in rebellion against the tyranny of humankind!

If I held the sway over all the lands of earth
or over liquid-life occupying thrice as much,
I would have made them rise in unison tonight,
in rebellion against the tyranny of humankind!

If I had in my right the sacred commands of men,
who would sacrifice their lives for a noble cause,
I would have ordered them to march with me tonight,
in rebellion against the tyranny of humankind!

But in the end all I am left with in my hand
is this humble pen with which
I have begun my war on human tyranny,
so now, would you please stand by me!
