Dedicated to Artemis

The sunlight kissed my eyelids with a profound love
as she came like a dream from the heavens above!
I opened my eyes, embracing the yellow warmth,
for a while the emptiness of the barren night
tried to pull me down to the nightmare of the past
but the sun was waiting for me, how could I stand her up!

I wondered if my heart still has the right to fall
in love with a maiden, so bright and innocent
but when did love ever paid his heed to reason
or waited with patience in his heart for its consent!

Thus my days go, sunny with her and clouded without,
at nights transforming to a blue and silver moon!
If I can make her mine I cannot tell, although
I am hers for life, this with all my heart I know!
