Clairvoyance

I have an orb of crystal in my head,
an orb that showed me the future some time!
Though often no matter how hard I tried
I could see nothing as no light was shed!
   

There were days it showed me nothing at all,
despite my bereaved insistence but then
some days it would pull me down, unwilling
into an abyss frightening my soul!
    

So it did last night and at first I thought,
it was a nightmare from my nightly lot
but it was the orb striving hard to tell
the addresses to your heaven and hell!
   

In the end it turned out that it was I
who held the key to them in truth and lies!
