In Present Tense

In Present Tense
Watch and Listen to a Reading of the Poem by me.

Justice is a holy grail seldom found,
where the accused one is guilty as charged
until proven otherwise beyond all shreds of doubt!
Power, though, is secured from such vile threats,
as it can seldom be held accountable
for any of its’ words, actions or policies!

Affluence is the sole means to positions
where talent is as deep as pockets go,
unaffected by the mass or volume of the mind!
Rooking, though, is held to be as brilliant,
almost as one’s inherited properties,
starting lower but rising faster than the rich!

This is not history through a magnifying lens
but the very state of my world in present tense!

Religions

Religions

All religions wrongly think that they alone possess
the knowledge of God while the others do not.
But if anything, God is neither unjust nor unfair,
so why one religion should be preferred by God
in possessing the eternal truth? That is utterly nonsensical!
Whichever way one treads upon, God is the end.
Then God may judge what type of human one was on earth,
not according to one’s family or inheritance
but in terms of one’s deeds and actions partaken,
wearing a robe, a crescent, a cross or nothing at all!

Another World

Another World

Come, make love to my soul, I have
sent my body on an errand
to another world, millions of
light years away. A world where you
cannot tell the night from the day,
for a thousand suns and moons too
shine upon the sky, round the clock,
unlike the world my soul is left to rot!

Here blindness can see more than sight
and words can mend your actions right,
unlike the distant world, where none
sees more or less beneath so many suns
and one must prove their words with deeds,
unlike the world my soul is left to writhe!
