Sorrows and Joys

     

Yes, I am sad I know but still
I feel happy, for it is true –
happiness is just around the corner,
a while ahead, when sadness overwhelms!

     

The opposite is true as well –
so, when I am filled with delight,
I feel too sad and helpless, as I know
sadness lurks close, when happiness abounds!

          

Like a seesaw the moments of my life
keep moving up and down along the curve
of satisfactions and disappointments,
from sorrows to delights to sorrows yet again!

       

Well, I don’t know why we make so much fuss with being
sad or full of joy, for nothing is what it seemed!
